Part II of my favorite winter cabin trip. I’m back off the grid at Caps Cabin in Wilderness State Park northern Michigan. On days 3 and 4 of my favorite winter camping spot me and the boys do some slack lining in the snow covered forest, play disc golf out on the ice, and cook up more delicious camping food. It’s Pure Michigan.

Wilderness State Park

Boasting 10,512 acres and 26 miles (42km) of Lake Michigan shoreline the park is a beautiful Michigan retreat.
If you haven’t already go watch Part 1 of my trip to Wilderness State Park on YouTube. This video is from days 3 and 4 when we get our adventure on and hike 2 miles out to Waugoshance Point for a winter picnic and an easy round of disc golf on a frozen Lake Michigan.
After we get back to Caps Cabin, our rustic yet cozy Michigan cabin, Dan and I do some campfire cooking rustling up falafel for dinner using our Coleman Gas Camping Stove and Coleman Camping Oven.

The next day is all about Slack Line City!!! This has become a bit of a traditional day for us, going to the same spot in the woods setting up the Base Line (aka slack line), building a fire, and just kicking it in the woods. There’s really only footage of Dan on the line, because, tbh he’s the best.
Nights are rounded out with more delicious cabin food, night treks down to the lake, and our weekend long dart tournament. I’m honored to say I took home the trophy this year.
